It is the most common card format in North American access control, and it is the format most HID 125 kHz prox systems were set up with. Every card on this page is encoded in H10301, so it will read on a standard HID prox reader and pass a 26-bit number to your panel.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch2\u003eWhat 26-bit H10301 means\u003c\/h2\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe 26 bits break down into 1 parity bit, an 8-bit facility code (0 to 255), a 16-bit card number (0 to 65,535) and a closing parity bit. Because there are only 256 facility codes, two buildings across town can hold identical cards. That is fine for most small and mid-size sites.
